Nunavut Tourism website

This was a great project. Working with the terrific team at Ayaya/Nortext I got to experiment with some new-to-me CSS techniques.

My part was converting the static designs to code. The pace of the project was quite fast, considering the scope. I got to work with some great people and learned a few things along the way.

The North is huge and each region, town and city had it’s own listing for businesses and services. These were to be searchable and organized in simple to navigate categories. Another highlight was this was another 4 language website. Getting to preview type in symbols fonts is nice.

This was my first experience with Amazon’s servers. Let me tell you I am not a fan. Connecting through Remote Desktop is a nightmare, syncing folders was terribly slow.
I’m sure this has gotten better now, it’s been several years.
